Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what account, learning, and technical data we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can manage it.

What data do we collect?

When you create an account, we store your username, email address, password hash, language preferences, and any profile details you choose to add. When you learn on Ludyrics, we store your session history and progress data so you can review your activity over time. We also process limited technical metadata such as login timestamps, security-related IP information, and country enrichment signals when needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, protect forms, and remember preferences such as your theme and selected languages. We only enable non-essential analytics or advertising technologies after you grant consent through the cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time.

Analytics and measurement

If you consent to analytics cookies, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage, product interactions, learning-session starts and completions, and general site performance. We use these tools to improve reliability, content, and the overall learning experience.

For signed-in members, analytics events may include a pseudonymous internal account identifier so we can distinguish guest and logged-in usage. We do not send your email address, username, or other directly identifying account fields to Google Analytics.

Retention

We keep different categories of data for different periods. Password reset requests are retained for a limited period and cleaned up automatically. Application and access log files are rotated daily and retained for up to 30 days. Account deletion requests stay pending for 45 days before completion. Security-related IP metadata is retained only for a limited operational period.

Access and export

Signed-in members can download a machine-readable export of their core account data, linked sign-in providers, and learning history from the account page. If you need additional help with access requests, please contact us.

Your rights

You can access, export, and correct your account data from your account page. You can also request deletion of your account. If you have questions about your data or want help exercising your privacy rights, please contact us.

For any privacy-related question, please reach out through our contact page.
